Clouds parted allowing the sun to shine down upon the field of green hill, a lone figure lay on the grass lazily watching the clouds pass overhead “nice day” he muttered. He stood up, blue hair swaying in the wind. “Ok” he gave a mischievous grin as he stretched his legs his legs out, then flexed his hands. He reached into his pockets sliding a pair of goggles out and strapping them onto his face. “let’s fly!” he raced forward at an amazing speed, leaving a blue streak behind him. The grass itself split as he ran by throwing broken blades into the air. Picking up enough speed he ran right along the surface of a stream jumping right on time to land on a cliff edge. He swung off a tree flying high in the air. He relaxed and spread his arms, feeling the wind blow against him “this is paradise…” he thought as he felt himself falling downwards. Panicking he flapped his arms like a bird but to no avail he landed face hirst In the ground leaving a small trail of dirt. “woa… wipeout” the teen said sitting down and removing his goggles. He whipped the dirt off with his shirt sleve as he began to wipe off his goggles.

“Sonic” a voice called. Sonic looked around himself to find the source, turning his head left, right, then behind. “Sonic!” the voice called again sonic glanced up to see an orange haired individual descend slowly. When he landed on the ground helicopter blades retracted back into his backpack. “Hey Tails, what’s shakin’” Sonic muttered trying to rub off a clump of dirt from his goggles. Tails fell down into a sitting position a look of worry and distress on his face. “Trouble sonic… major trouble” sonic turned his goggles around in his hand.
“What? You got second place at the Engineering festival or somethin’” Tails shook his head panting for air “I came… as fast… as I could… you know that… insane… fan girl… the one… that follows you around all the time”. fan girl?” sonic thought tapping his head, an awful memory of him running from a deranged girl popped up in his mind  “oh… that fan girl” he sighed rubbing his head and leaning back “so what, is she still trying to convince me that she’s …” “she was kidnapped” tails interrupted sonic leaned up instantly “listen Tails, I know she’s your friend but I told ya im not…” Tails stood up  “no I mean it sonic…” he shouted. Setting down his pack and pulling out a note “this is for you… I found it in her house” sonic retrieved the note and smiled “bustin into other peoples housed? That’s a bit, forward of you” Tails grew beet red from embarrassment “nononononononono its not like that I was invited and…” “okay, okay” sonic interrupted ripping open the note “honestly your so paranoid sometimes…”he began to read the note his eyes shifted left and right. Tails leaned forward in curiosity “what does it say?” Sonic grinned standing up and giving an overly dramatic statement
“I, Dr. Igo Mc-Fatass have recently found out that the stick is stuck so far up my ass that…” “SONIC!” Tails shouted causing sonic to fall on his back. He laughed and skimmed the note again, crumbling it up.“Well it’s an invitation to a party!” he flipped upright and began stretching his legs, “and were all invited, isn’t that great!” He laughed flexing his hands “Party!? It sounds more like a deathtrap” Sonic bent down and touched his toes “yup” Sonic said simply “how can you be so laid back at a time like this sonic you know how dangerous this can be!” tails looked down clenching his fist ”you know how dangerous the man were dealing with is” tails muttered. Sonic stretched his back in response he smiled at tails “I know” he grinned as he slid the goggles on his face “That just makes it more fun, race ya!” he ran off leaving a dust trail. A panicked Tails almost fell over as he grabbed his pack from the ground, and pressed few buttons on his watch “SONIC WAIT FOR ME!!!” Helicopter blades popped out of his backpack and began spinning around he pulled a pair of goggles from his back pocket as he jumped in the air, flying after Sonic.
